A few weeks ago (in February 2009), I watched a 1998 TED Talk featuring Aimee Mullins, athlete, model, actress, women’s rights activist, double-amputee, and amazing woman.Despite that fact that it had been filmed 11 years ago , Aimee's talk blew me away. Totally. Tonight, courtesy of twitter, I discovered a newly posted TED Talk from Aimee. I've made several attempts to describe it for you in words, and I simply can't. Please just watch the video below for yourself. It may change your life. To give you an idea of who Aimee Mullins is, I've unabashedly copied her bio from the TED website: Aimee Mullins was born without fibular bones, and had both of her legs amputated below the knee when she was an infant.(Thank you TED for making your amazing, thought-provoking and inspirational talks downloadable, embeddable and available to the world for free, and thus helping us all to soar on the wings of possibility.)

AWR launched two years ago. To keep it subscription-free, I need to migrate the site to a new platform that will more easily allow advertising. I don't have the funds to do it alone, so I'm inviting visitors and fans to invest in the future of AWR with me. If AWR inspires you, please make a donation to take it to the next level. Even $5 - $10 will help. Thanks for your support, Susan
