Every now and again, the universe sends me a special gift.
This morning, as I prepared my latest TED “playlist” from the 170+ amazing TED talks by amazing TED women, I stumbled on this gem: a TEDx talk by creator Amy Rosenthal.
Rosenthal is a truly magical force: a writer, filmmaker, radio host, author of more than 12 children’s books, and creator of The Beckoning: A Feature Film
Documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy spent a year with Taliban recruiters and children who were training to become suicide bombers.
Twenty-two-year-old engineering student Ambreen Rahman knows what it takes to build strong bridges.
A Powerful Noise is an extraordinary film with a simple yet compelling message: empowering women changes communities for the better.
The universe speaks to me constantly.
The auditorium fell dead silent when Dr. Sunitha Krishnan stepped onto the stage at TED India on November 6, 2009. And Tedsters around the world, watching via a live stream webcast, were transfixed – or at least we were in Dubai!
Susan's update, March 21, 2010: CNN reports that Margaret Moth, a woman whose courage almost defied belief, died today at the age of 59.
